Refund & Return Policy
Your satisfaction is our priority.
1. Return & Exchange Window
At House of Books, we stand by the quality of our curation. Customers inside Egypt are entitled to request a return or exchange of their purchased books within 14 days of receiving the delivery.
2. Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for a return or exchange, your items must meet the following conditions:
- The books must be in their original condition, unopened, and unread.
- The items must retain all original packaging materials, seals, and barcodes intact.
- You must provide the order number or purchase receipt for confirmation.
3. Return Delivery Fees
If the return is due to a change of mind or personal preference:
- The customer is responsible for covering the return courier delivery fee.
- Return fees are 80 EGP for Cairo and Giza governates, and 150 EGP for other governates across Egypt.
If the return is due to a manufacturing defect, damaged copy, or delivery error:
- House of Books will fully absorb all shipping and exchange delivery charges.
4. Refund Processing
Refunds are processed within 48 hours after our quality check team receives and inspects the returned items. Approved refunds will be paid directly to the customer via:
- InstaPay Transfer
- Etisalat Cash (or other mobile cash wallets)
Please note that Cash on Delivery orders cannot be refunded in physical cash via shipping couriers; mobile wallets or direct bank transfers are used.
